Meek Mill’s Bail Request Denied By Judge
Meek Mill has been battling to get out of prison since last Fall, but unfortunately Judge Genece Brinkley denied his latest bail request.
TMZ reports that although Brinkley has been accused of being biased in the case, she maintains neutrality and refused to give a valid reason as to why Meek can’t walk free on bail.
Mill’s lawyer Joe Tacopina said this about the case:
“This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill’s case into a personal vendetta. In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented.”
Brinkley says there is no reason for her to step down from the case as there is zero evidence that she previously asked Meek Mill for a shoutout in a song or any of the other accusations against her. She also says the Philadelphia rapper has violated his probation five times and admitted to drug use during his most recent arrest.
Check back for more information as the case develops and hope that Meek Mill gets back to making music sooner than later.
