Eric Bellinger – Be The Change
Check out Eric Bellinger’s latest record & video for “Be The Change.”
Eric Bellinger has been relatively quiet since he dropped off his Cannabliss EP back in April, but thankfully that changes here today. With no warning at all, the West Coast singer decided to return to the scene the other day & share a new song & accompanying video called “Be The Change,” which is inspired by the wise words of Nelson Mandela & recent racial events that transpired down in Charlottesville, Virginia last weekend.
“Felt I needed to share something given everything that has been going on in Charlottesville…” he shared along with the song.
Taking to the streets of Los Angeles with an acoustic guitar player, Bellinger delivers an empowering anthem that addresses fighting hate with love and standing up for what you believe is right. In between shots of his street performance, the visual contains old footage from the days of Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movement, along with footage from the violent protests in Charlottesville two weeks ago.
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to Love, for Love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” – Nelson Mandella
